Virtual DOM implementation for the client layer of the DotVVM framework

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on analyzing the feasibility and the possible asset of the client layer modernization of the web framework DotVVM. The thesis discusses the option of transforming and automatizing its fundamental principals to the interface of the React library, while it emphasizes on keeping backward compatibility with the current version of the framework and increasing dynamic page changes performance. It also implements the prototype of the framework's core and its essential components, which are used to identify possible asset of the proposed modernization concept.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá analýzou realizovateľnosti a možného prínosu aktualizácie klientskej vrstvy webového frameworku DotVVM. V práci je diskutovaný spôsob prenesenia a automatizácie jeho fundamentálnych princípov do rozhrania knižnice React, pričom dôraz je kladený na zachovanie kompatibility s aktuálnou verziou frameworku a zvýšenie rýchlosti dynamických zmien stránky. Súčasťou práce je implementácia prototypu jadra frameworku a jeho základných komponentov, ktoré slúžia k overeniu a identifikácii možného prínosu navrhovaného spôsobu aktualizácie.
