Road toll and its influence on the truck transport

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce analyzuje vliv mýtného na kamionovou přepravu u nás a v některých zemích Evropy. Rozebírá rozdílné mýtné systémy ve vybraných zemích EU. Jelikož je mýtné nemalou položkou v nákladech přepravních firem, bude se také věnovat přímým i nepřímým nákladům, které firmám vznikají v důsledku platby, výběru a kontroly mýtného. Vedle mýtného mají na přetíženou dopravní infrastrukturu vliv další faktory, jako nedostatečné množství odpočívadel nebo zákazy jízdy kamionů v určité době a období. V této práci navrhuji zjednodušit výběr mýtného v zemích EU, možnosti jak snížit ve firmách náklady s mýtným spojené a opatření, která by mohla odlehčit přetíženým silnicím a dálnicím.

Abstract:

This thesis analyzes the impact of tolls on truck transport in our country and some other countries in Europe. It analyzes different toll systems in selected EU countries. Since the toll is considerable item in the costs of transport companies, I will also follow direct and indirect costs to companies arising from toll payments, collection and control. Besides tolls other factors such as inadequate number of rest areas and truck traffic restrictions at certain times and seasons effect congested transport infrastructure. In this thesis I propose how to simplify the collection of tolls in the EU, possibilities how decrease the costs in companies associated with the toll and measures that could relieve congested roads and highways.
