Attitudes of teachers for selected positive and negative aspects of teaching profession

Abstract:

Práce se zaměřuje na zkoumání postojů středoškolských učitelů k vybraným pozitivním a negativním aspektům učitelské profese. Rozděluje se na teoretickou a výzkumnou část. V teoretické části se tato práce zabývá problematikou postojů a učitelské profese, věnuje se předchozím výzkumům souvisejícím s tématem práce a rozebírá vybrané pozitivními a negativními aspekty učitelské profese. Jako pozitivní aspekty jsou určeny sociální klima školy a práce s mladou generací. Jako negativní aspekty jsou určeny psychická a fyzická zátěž a prestiž učitelské profese. Výzkumná část se soustřeďuje na kvantitativní výzkumné šetření, které je zaměřeno na zkoumání postojů středoškolských učitelů k vybraným pozitivním a negativním aspektům jejich profese. Cílem tohoto šetření je zjistit, zda se učitelé odlišují ve svých postojích s ohledem na délku jejich praxe, pohlaví a typ školy, na které pracují. Výsledky výzkumu prokázaly, že pohlaví a typ školy ovlivňují postoje učitelů k vybraným pozitivním a negativním aspektům jejich profese.

Abstract:

Thesis is focused on research of attitudes of secondary teachers towards selected positive and negative aspects of teaching profession. It divides into theoretical and research part. In the theoretical part the thesis deals with problematics of attitudes and teaching profession, also deals with previous researches related to the thesis topic and analyzes selected positive and negative aspects of teaching profession. As the positive aspects are determined school social climate and working with the young generation. As the negative aspects are determinded psychical and physical stress and prestige of teaching profession. The research part is focused on the quantitative research survey which is focused on attitudes of secondary teachers towards selected positive and negative aspects of their profession. The goal of the survey is to find out whether teachers differ in their attitudes given to length of their practice, sex and type of school they work at. Research results showed that sex and type of school influence attitudes of teachers towards positive and negative aspects of their profession.
