Time management in managerial practice

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou vysvětlené základní pojmy: manažer, time management, metody a nástroje time managementu a prokrastinace. Praktická část je zaměřená na hlavní cíl této práce, což bylo zjistit, jestli manažeři znají pojmy "time management" a "prokrastinace" a jaké nástroje time managementu používají. Dalším cílem bylo zjistit, co je jejich motivace. Šetření bylo provedeno dotazníkovou metodou. Oslovení respondenti této práce byli manažeři z různých pozic a z různých sektorů. Z dotazníkového šetření vyšlo najevo, že pojem "time management" už je v dnešní době hodně známý a jeho nástroje jsou stále využívány i v papírové podobě, i když dost přechází na elektronickou verzi diářů a kalendářů. Dále vyšlo najevo, že s vysokou školou a kurzy má člověk větší šanci se stát vrcholovým manažerem. Autorka této bakalářské práce na téma "Time management v manažerské praxi" věří, že cíle práce byly splněny.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part the basic concepts are explained: manager, time management, the methods and tools of time management and procrastinaton. The practical part is focused on the main purpose of said thesis, which was to find out if managers know the terms of "time management" and "procrastination" and what time management tools they use. Another goal was to find out what their motivation is. The survey was coduncted using a questionnaire method. The addrssed respondents of this thesis were managers from different positions and sectors. The questionnaire survey revealed that the term of "time management" is already a well known topic in today's time and its tools are still used in paper form although a lot is being converted into electronic verions via diaries and calendars. It also turned out that with college and courses, one has better chances of becoming a top manager. The author of this bachelor thesis on the subject of "time management in managerial practice" believes that the goals of said work have been met.
