Design of a furniture element with the use of 3D printing

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je návrh nábytkového prvku s použitím technologie 3D tisku. První část je teoretická a pojednává o technologii 3D tisku a jejím vývoji. Součástí této části je také zhodnocení materiálů a obecné shrnutí ergonomických požadavků. Druhá část je praktická a zabývá se celým procesem navrhování nábytkového prvku, který je v této práci reprezentován v podobě volně stojícího věšáku. Na začátku druhé části je zhodnocení rešerší. Dále je zde podrobný popis tvůrčího procesu až po závěrečnou vizualizaci produktu.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is a design of a furniture element with the use of 3D printing. First part of the thesis is theoretical, and it is about the technology of 3D printing and its evolution. A section of this part is an evaluation of materials and general summary of ergonomic requirements. Second part of the thesis is practical, and it deals with the whole process of designing of a furniture element which is represented in this thesis by a coat rack. At the beginning of the second part there is an evaluation of current situation. Next there is a detailed description of the creative process until the final product visualisation.
