Total comunication students of first stage primary school for Hearing Impaired People

Abstract:

Cílem teoretické části práce je stručný přehled sluchových vad a jejích diagnóza. Popis vzdělávání sluchově postižených v integraci i školách pro sluchově postižené. Pokračuji ucelenou zprávou o způsobu výuky metodou totální komunikace v porovnání s dalšími komunikačními metodami sluchově postižených, podrobným popisem jejího vzniku a historie. V praktické části se práce zaměřuje na pozorování komunikační úrovně žáků prvního ročníku základní školy pro sluchově postižené vzdělávající se metodou totální komunikace ve srovnání s intaktní populací. Výsledkem je analyzování situace komunikačních projevů žáků prvního ročníku školy pro sluchově postižené, vzdělávají se metodou totální komunikace. Těchto výsledků dosahuji pozorováním žáků, rozhovoru s třídními učiteli a studiem případů.

Abstract:

The theoretic part of this thesis is aimed at a brief summary of hearing impairments and their diagnoses; description of education of hard of hearing children, both in integrated schools and in special schools for hard of hearing children. This is followed by an overall report of an education method known as total communication compared to some other communication methods designed for hard of hearing people, with a detailed description of its development and history. Practical part is focused on monitoring the communication level of pupils educated with the use of total communication method at Elementary School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, in their first year of study, in comparison to the intact population. As a result, an analysis is made, researching the situation of communication behaviour and activity of pupils in their first school year at an elementary school for deaf and hard of hearing that are educated through the total communication method. These results have been obtained in monitoring the pupils, discussions with class teachers and studies of individual cases.
