Field lessons in the Zemská brána Nature Reserve

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá terénní výukou v přírodní rezervaci Zemská brána, nacházející se v Orlických horách při hranici s Polskem. První část stručně popisuje zařazení terénní výuky do osnov středoškolského učiva a mezipředmětové vazby. V další části, určené jako příručka pro učitele, podává informace o fyzicko-geografické charakteristice oblasti, fauně a flóře a stručně i o naučné stezce, která je pro výuku využita. Třetí část je metodická příručka pro učitele, která ho seznamuje s pracovními listy pro studenty a jak s nimi pracovat. V závěru je popsána realizovaná výuka a shrnutí efektivity exkurze jak z pohledu učitele, tak žáka. Zpětná vazba zúčastněných žáků byla pozitivní jen s minimálními připomínkami k náročnosti některých cvičení. Práce je využitelná zejména pro výuku středoškolských studentů, jako jiná forma klasické výuky ve škole. Tímto možným zpracováním si práce klade si za cíl motivovat vyučujícího k zařazení terénní výuky, jako stálou součást osnov přírodovědných předmětů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with field lessons in nature reserve called Zemská brána, which is located in Orlické hory nearby the Czech-Polish border. The first part of this paper briefly describes the inclusion of field lessons into high school curricula and its connections with other subjects. The second part serves as a guide for teachers. It gives information about physical and geographical qualities of the reserve - flora and fauna. Also, it specifies the nature trail where the training process is held. The third part is a methodical handbook for teachers, which presents student’s worksheets and shows, how to work with them. Finally, the conclusion contains description of the realization of field lessons itself with a summary on the effectivity of the excursion from the point of view of both, the teacher and the student. The feedback of the partaking students was mainly positive with only a few comments on the nature of some exercises. This paper can serve mainly as an educational material for high school students. In accordance with the information mentioned above, the aim of this bachelor paper is to motivate teachers to include the field training into the learning process of the high school students as a permanent part of the natural science curricula.
