Kant's Copernican Turn and Transcendental Analytic.

Abstract:

V předkládané práci představuji Kantův kopernikánský obrat v souvislosti s Transcendentální analytikou z Kritiky čistého rozumu. Přibližuji filosofii transcendentálního idealismu, která se nezabývá zkoumáním vnějšího světa, ale hledá apriorní elementy a zákony mysli, prostřednictvím kterých poznávající subjekt utváří svou zkušenost. Tato filosofie je založena na předpokladu, že objekty zkušenosti jsou řízeny naší myslí, nikoli naopak. V první části uvádím do problematiky Kantovy teorie zkušenosti, představuji, že poznávající subjekt má dvě základní kognitivní mohutnosti: rozvažování a smyslovost. Vysvětluji, že podle Kanta existují v naší mysli dva typy apriorních prvků, jejichž prostřednictvím mysl formuje poznatky a které dvěma typům kognitivních mohutností odpovídají - názory a pojmy. Apriorní názory se nazývají čas a prostor, apriorní pojmy se nazývají kategorie. Pasáž Kritiky čistého rozumu, ve které jsou představeny kategorie, se nazývá Metafyzická dedukce. Klíčem ke Koperníkově revoluci je Kantova teze, že prostřednictvím zavedení čistého názoru máme nejen analytické apriorní vědění, ale také syntetické apriorní vědění, které je možné, pokud rozšíříme pojmy logiky o podmínky času a prostoru. Uvádím, jak Kant rozšiřuje formální logiku, která abstrahuje od obsahu, o podmínky času, a tím zavádí transcendentální logiku. Ve druhé vysvětluji, jak se nauka exaktních věd 18. století odráží v Kantově nauce o čistém názoru. Ukazuji, jak Kant kromě logické nutnosti, kterou nachází ve formální logice, objevuje i nutnost axiomů euklidovských postulátů, a díky tomu ospravedlňuje syntetické apriorní znalosti. Na základě postulátů jako pravidel konstrukce Kanta představuji jako konstruktivistu, který tvrdí, že subjekt syntetizuje zkušenost prostřednictvím apriorních pojmů a apriorních názorů. Ve třetí a čtvrté části analyzuji a interpretuji pasáž Kritiky čistého rozumu, která se nazývá Transcendentální dedukce. Dokazuji, že Kantem představené kategorie v Metafyzické dedukci jsou podmínkou poznání, podmínkou možnosti objektů obecně a jsou tedy nutnými a obecnými apriorními pojmy. Vysvětluji, že kategorie jsou pravidly syntézy v čistém názoru, protože regulují syntézu tak, aby odpovídala jednotě sebevědomí. Skrze analýzu a interpretaci Kantových pasáží docházím k závěru, že rozvažování není pouze mohutností formálně logických pojmů, ale zahrnuje kategorie a určuje čas a prostor, a tím podmiňuje zkušenost.

Abstract:

In this thesis, I present Kant's Copernican Revolution in connection with Transcendental Analytics from the Critique of Pure Reason. I introduced the philosophy of Transcendental Idealism, which does not deal with the investigation of the external world, but seeks a priori laws of the mind, through which the cognizing subject shapes his experience. This philosophy is based on the assumption that the objects of experience are governed by our minds, not the other way around. In the first part, I introduce the issue of Kant's theory of experience, I present that the cognizing subject has two basic cognitive powers: understanding and sensibility. I explain that according to Kant, there are two types of a priori elements in our mind, through which the mind shapes knowledge, and which correspond to two types of cognitive powers - intuitions and concepts. A priori intuitions are called time and space; a priori concepts are called categories. The passage of the Critique of Pure Reason in which the categories are introduced is called the Metaphysical Deduction. The key to the Copernican Revolution is Kant's thesis that through the conception of pure intuitions of time and space, we have not only analytical a priori knowledge, but also synthetic a priori knowledge, which is made possible if we extend the concepts of logic to the conditions of time and space. I present how Kant expands Formal Logic, which abstracts from content, to the conditions of pure intuition and thereby introduces Transcendental Logic. In the second part, I explain how the concept of exact sciences is reflected in Kant's doctrine of pure intuition. I show, that in addition to the logical necessity in Formal Logic, Kant also discovers the necessity of the axioms of Euclidean postulates, and thanks to this, he justifies synthetic a priori knowledge. On the basis of postulates as rules of construction, I present Kant as a constructivist who claims that the subject synthesizes experience through a priori concepts and a priori intuitions. In the third and fourth part, I analyze and interpreted the passage of the Critique of Pure Reason, which is called Transcendental Deduction. In this part, I prove with Kant that the categories presented in Metaphysical Deduction are condition of knowledge, condition of the possibility of objects in general and therefore they are necessary and general a priori concepts. I give proof that the categories are the rules of synthesis in pure intuition, they regulate the synthesis so that it corresponds to the unity of self-consciousness. I prove that categories are a part of understanding, and therefore this cognitive faculty is not only the power of formal logical concepts, but it determines time and space, and thus the entire sensibility, enabling the unity of experience.
