Trauma Triage Positive Pre-School Children Viewed by a Paramedic

Abstract:

Téma bakalářské práce se zaměřuje na trauma triáž pozitivní pacienty předškolního věku z pohledu zdravotnického záchranáře. Práce obsahuje teoretickou a praktickou část. Cílem práce je zjistit četnost úrazů předškolního věku, které vyžadují zásah zdravotnické záchranné služby, statisticky určit, jaké je nejčastější poranění a jakým mechanismem byl úraz zapříčiněn. V teoretické části je definováno trauma, traumacentra, polytrauma a také je rozebráno, podle jakého vzorce se určuje trauma triáž pozitivní pacient. Dále je popsána péče o pacienta předškolního věku s polytraumatem, traumatická zástava oběhu, damage control resuscitation, a také nejčastější úraz, který postihuje děti předškolního věku – kraniotrauma. Praktická část se zaměřuje na zpracování 5 případových studií dětských pacientů, kteří utrpěli úraz, a musela pro ně být vyslána letecká výjezdová skupina. Součástí praktické části je také statistika, ve které se práce zabývá rozborem úrazů trauma triáž pozitivních dětí předškolního věku dovezených leteckou výjezdovou skupinou do traumacentra Fakultní nemocnice v Hradci Králové.

Abstract:

The topic of the bachelor thesis focuses on triage positivity of the Trauma Patient of preschool age and the paramedic’s perspective. The thesis contains a theoretical and practical part. The aim of the work is to determine the frequency of injuries of preschool age patients, which require the intervention of the emergency medical services, to tatistically determine what is the most common injury and by what echanism the injury was caused. The theoretical part defines trauma, trauma centers, polytrauma and also discusses the formula according to which the trauma triage positive patients are determined. It also describes the prehospital care of preschool patients with polytrauma, traumatic cardiac arrest, damage control resuscitation, and also the most common injury that affects preschool children – craniotrauma. The practical part focuses on the elaboration of 5 case studies of pediatric patients who suffered an injury and had to be transported by the helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS). Part of the practical part is also statistics, in which the work looks at the analysis of trauma triage positive children of preschool age brought by the HEMS to the trauma center of the University Hospital in Hradec Králové.
