Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá rozvojem starých průmyslových regionů v Česku. Staré průmyslové regiony, mezi které můžeme řadit nejen některá města Karlovarského kraje, trpí řadou problémů, jako je dlouhodobá nezaměstnanost, sociální vyloučení, odliv kvalifikovaných obyvatel, ale i všeobecná pasivita místní společnosti. The presented diploma thesis deals with the development of old industrial regions in the Czech Republic. Old industrial areas, among which we can include not only some cities of the Karlovy Vary region, suffer from several problems, such as long-term unemployment, social exclusion, the outflow of qualified residents, and the general passivity of local society.
