Teacher of contemporary Czech school - pleasures and problems

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na učitele české současné školy. Zabývá se tím, jaké jsou skutečné problémy a starosti, ale i radosti a pozitiva při výkonu učitelské profese. Obsahuje dvě základní části - teoretickou a praktickou a je rozdělena do 4 kapitol. V první kapitole obecně sledujeme historický vývoj, proměny v čase, boj za vysokoškolskou přípravu i současnou situaci učitelské profese. Zabýváme se postavením učitele ve škole, motivací k učitelskému povolání i hodnotou a prestiží učitelů ve společnosti. Druhá kapitola je cílena přímo na učitele, na jeho osobnost, profesní kompetence, činnosti, osobnostní vlastnosti, profesní kvality. Přináší rozbor různých typologií učitelů, popisuje vztah učitel - rodič, či učitel - žák a charakterizuje úspěšného učitele. Ve třetí kapitole jsme se na základě informací získaných z odborné literatury, zaměřili na analýzu radostí a problémů, se kterými se učitelé potýkají, které musí řešit a prožívat. Čtvrtou kapitolu tvoří praktická část, spočívající v průzkumném šetření. Pomocí dotazníku vlastní konstrukce zjišťujeme, jaké jsou faktické starosti a radosti dnešních učitelů, co je nejvíc trápí a z čeho mají naopak radost. Pozornost jsme zaměřili na takové aspekty jako je kázeň žáků, spokojenost s finančním ohodnocením práce, vztahy na pracovišti, prestiž učitelů ve společnosti, či spokojenost se svým povoláním. Zjistit názory a nalézt odpovědi na výše uvedené prvky bylo cílem naší diplomové práce.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the teacher of the current Czech school. It deals with their real problems and worries as well as the joys and advantages of their professional lives. The first chapter looks at the historical development in general, the changes in time, the fight for the university education and also the current situation of teachers in Czech schools. It deals with the teachers' position in schools, their motivation for the job as well as the values and reputation of the teachers' profession in the society. The second chapter directs on the teacher, their personality and professional competences, activities, their personal and professional qualities. The analysis of various types of the teacher's personalities is brought here as well. It describes the relationship between the student and the teacher and between the teacher and the parent. It characterizes the type of the successful teacher. Based on the information from the professional literature, the third chapter gives the analysis of the joys and sorrows of teachers' everyday lives. The fourth chapter consists of the practical part, based on the research. By the means of the author's own questionnaire, the real joys and sorrows of the asked teachers have been investigated. The attention has been paid to the facts such as the students' misbehaviour in class, salary satisfaction, cooperation with the co-teachers, the teachers' position in the society and their job satisfaction. The aim of the thesis has been to find the opinions and the answers for these questions.
