NOTHING is ANYTHING

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is to bring closer to its reader my perception of nothing, resp. to prove what the very title of the work is about, and that even Nothing is Anything, while at the end of the work I created an object with this name. The whole work is divided into three basic chapters. In the first chapter, entitled Something, I focused on a brief description of selected works of the avant-garde, process art, land art and, last but not least, conceptual art. In the following chapter, I devoted Nothing, as the title of the chapter suggests, to the concept of nothing in various artistic and non-artistic branches. These two chapters formed the theoretical basis of my thesis. In the practical part of the work I focus mainly on the creation of the work itself, in this part of the work are the procedures I have chosen for its creation. At the end of the last chapter there is a description and sketch of the final work. The result of the diploma thesis is the work Nothing is Anything.

Abstract:

Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je priblížiť jej čitateľovi moje vnímanie ničoho, resp. dokázať to, o čom pojednáva už samotný názov práce, a to, že Aj nič je niečo, pričom som na konci práce vytvorila objekt s týmto názvom. Celá práca je členená do troch základných kapitol. V prvej kapitole s názvom Niečo som sa venovala stručnej charakteristike vybraných diel avantgardy, procesuálneho umenia, land artu a v neposlednom rade konceptuálnemu umeniu. V nasledujúcej kapitole Nič som sa venovala, ako už názov kapitoly napovedá, pojmu nič v rôznych umeleckých aj neumeleckých odvetviach. Tieto dve kapitoly tvorili teoretický základ mojej práce. V praktickej časti práce sa venujem najmä samotnej tvorbe diela, v tejto časti práce sú uvedené mnou zvolené postupy pri jeho tvorbe. V závere poslednej kapitoly sa nachádza opis a náčrt predstavy výsledného umeleckého diela. Výsledkom diplomovej práce je dielo Aj nič je niečo.
