Design - Fruit bowl

Abstract:

Zaměření mé bakalářské práce je vlastní designová tvorba a to konkrétně autorská mísa na ovoce. V teoretické části se zaměřuji na design od 50. do 70. let 20. století v obecném spektru včetně mezinárodní výstavy Designblok, a designéry často používané materiály jako je sklo, plast, dřevo a také způsoby a techniky jejich zpracování a úpravy. Praktická část obsahuje specifika mého postupu při výrobě, od prvotních grafických a elektronických návrhů v programu Rhinoceros, přes konkrétní tvarovací práci s plastem ve vakuovacím stroji, soustružení dřeva a úpravu pomocí Dremlu, metodu práce se speciálními lepidly, tmely a lakem, díky kterým jsem dosáhl vytvoření prototypu mísy na ovoce.

Abstract:

The text of the abstract. The content of my bachelor?s thesis is my actual authorial design layout of a fruit bowl. In the theoretical part of my thesis I am concentrating on the design progress from 1950 to 1980 of the 20th century as well as on international exhibitions such as Designblok. Materials typically used by designers, such as glass, plastic or wood as well as techniques and methods of their processing and customization were another aim of my work. Practical part of this project is consisting of a work-formation processes, which are spreading from initial graphic and electronic design layouts created in the 3D modeling program Rhinoceros, throughout actual formatting process of a plastic material in a vacuum machine, wood turning and final adjustments done by a high performance rotary tool. In addition I was engaging different methods of working with various types of glue, putty and paint. Thanks to these processes I was able to produce a functional prototype of a fruit bowl.
