V souvislosti s hospodářskou krizí, která zasáhla celý svět včetně České republiky, realizovalo v roce 2009 Ministerstvo vnitra projekt Dobrovolných návratů -- projekt, který má pomoci cizincům, kteří ztratily práci v ČR a nemají prostředky na návrat zpět do vlasti. Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic realized in 2009 a project called Voluntary returns. This project should have helped foreigners, who lost their jobs in the Czech Republic in association with economic crisis and who don't have enough money for return to their mother country.
