Assessment of Children's Motor Skills Level

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce bylo porovnání úrovně motoriky mezi sportujícími dětmi a dětmi bez organizované volnočasové pohybové aktivity. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na motoriku a její vývoj, dále popisuje řízení pohybu na jednotlivých úrovních, jednotlivé pohybové schopnosti a dovednosti a význam pohybové aktivity pro jejich rozvoj. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 30 dětí (chlapců) ve věku 12-14 let rozdělených na 2 skupiny. Výzkumná skupina se skládala z 15 pravidelně 5x týdně sportujících dětí a kontrolní skupinu tvořilo 15 dětí, které nemají organizovanou volnočasovou pohybovou aktivitu. Motorické dovednosti dětí jsme zkoumali provedením experimentální studie pomocí standardizované testovací baterie MABC 2. Získaná data byla statisticky analyzována pomocí Studentova t-testu. Z výsledků práce vyplynul statisticky významný rozdíl mezi skupinou sportujících a skupinou bez organizované volnočasové pohybové aktivity ve prospěch sportujících.

Abstract:

The goal of this Diploma Thesis was to compare the motor skills level between children who take part in organised sports activities and children who do not take part in any organised free time activity. The theoretical part focuses on motor skills and their development, describes motor control on individual levels, individual motor abilities and skills and the importance of that activity to their development. 30 children (boys) aged 12-14 took part in the research. The research group consisted of 15 children who train 5 times a week on a regular basis while the control group consisted of the other 15 who do not take part in this type of activity. We researched the motor skills by using the standardized Movement Assessment Battery for Children 2 (MABC-2). The gathered data were statistically analyzed using the T-test. The results of the Thesis showed a statistically significant difference between the group of athletes and the group without organized free time activity.
