Feminism in The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - History and Present

Abstract:

The thes is focuses on Femini sm in the Uni ted Kingdom of Great Br i tain and Nor thern I reland, namely on i t s development and compar ison of his tory and present . Femini sm is not only a theory, but al so social relat ions of hi s tory and the present , which mot ivated and s t i ll mot ivates f i r s t ly women, who s t r ive for equal i ty of r ight s and gender . The aim of this thes is i s to provoke a reader ' s interest in the whole femini st ic concept ion. Before I descr ibe the cur rent s i tuat ion, including cont racept ion, working condi t ions, or the r ight of opt ion, I would l ike to inform the readers about facts that preceded these nowadays - taken mat ter s of cour se. I wi l l focus especial ly on his tory and the beginning of feminism, the waves of femini sm and thei r mos t impor tant aims and on the heroines f ight ing for female r ight s in the Uni ted Kingdom of Great Br i tain and Nor thern I reland

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na feminismus Velké Británie a Severního Irska, a to na politické srovnání historie a současnosti. Feminismus jsou nejen teorie, ale i praktiky sociálních vztahů historie a současnosti, jež motivovaly a stále motivují především ženy usilující o sociální rovnost mezi pohlavími. Cílem bakalářské práce je vzbudit ve čtenáři zájem o zamyšlení se nad celou koncepcí feminismu. Dříve než v druhé polovině práce popíši současné životní trendy jako je antikoncepce, pracovní podmínky či možnost vlastní volby; ráda bych čtenáře seznámila s tím, co této dnes již samozřejmosti předcházelo. A to především historii, vlny feminismu, hlavní bojovnice za svobodu a rovnoprávnost žen; a to všechno zejména na pozadí Velké Británie a Severního Irska
