Abstract:

Práce referuje o Antonínu Beerovi, profesoru germánské jazykovědy a spoluzakladateli germánského semináře na Filozofické fakultě Masarykovy univerzity v Brně, který se významně zasadil o rozvoj univerzity v prvních letech její existence, a mimo mnohé jiné působil po 36 let v redakci kritického časopisu Naše věda. Práce také obsahuje inventář k osobnímu fondu Antonín Beer s časovým rozpětím 1882-1950, který jsem uspořádala v Archivu Masarykovy univerzity v Brně. Další část práce shrnuje vývoj germánského semináře od jeho založení do dnešních dnů, sleduje posloupnost jednotlivých vedoucích nynějšího Ústavu germanistiky, nordistiky a nederlandistiky, jejich zaměření a stěžejní bibliografii. Dále přináší informace o vývoji a zaměření časopisu Naše věda, jenž přinášel všestranné zprávy o nových pokrocích české vědy v první polovině 20. století.

Abstract:

The work refers about Antonín Beer, professor of germanic philology and germanic seminar co-founder on the Philosophical Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno, who has significantly helped to build the university in the early years of its existence and except many others activities he had worked for 36 years in the redaction of the critic periodical The Naše věda. The work also includes an inventory of the personal fund Antonín Beer with a time span of 1882-1950(1970), which I organized in the Archives of Masaryk University in Brno. Another part of work summarizes an evolution of germanic seminary of its establishment to the present days, follows a succession of leaders of the present Department of Germanic, Scandinavian and Netherlandistics, their main focus and a bibliography. Next part of work informs about the development and focus of the periodical The Naše věda, which had brought the multilateral reports of new progress of the Czech science in the first half of the 20th century.
