Analysis of forces acting in a car

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o analýze sil působících na čtyřkolový automobil. Užitím první a druhé Impulsové věty dojdeme k závěru, že Impulsové věty neposkytují dostatečné množství rovnic, potřebných pro vyjádření reakční sil ve čtyřech bodech doteku kol s drsným terénem. Počet získaných rovnic, dle vět Impulsových, neodpovídá počtu neznámých reakčních sil, a tudíž systém rovnic nemá jednoznačné řešení. Jednoznačné řešení těchto rovnic nalezneme pomocí aproximace kol, jakožto dokonalých pružin, či harmonických oscilátorů, umístěných na místo pevných bodů doteku kol s drsným terénem. Pro srovnání teoreticky vypočtených sil s reálnými silami, působícími na skutečný automobil, byl zkonstruován model vozidla, do kterého jsou uchyceny pružiny simulující reálné tlumiče. Výsledky určené z teoretického výpočtu jsou posléze srovnány s výsledky naměřenými na modelu vozidla.

Abstract:

The bachelor´s thesis deals with the analysis of forces acting in a four-wheeled car. If we try to use the first and second impuls-momentum theorems, we will conclude that impuls-momentum theorems do not provide a sufficient number of equalions to express the reaction forces acting at the four points where wheels are contact with rough terrain. The number of obtained equations according to the impuls-momentum theorems does not correspond with the number of unknown reaction forces, and therefore the system of equations does not have a clear solution. An unambiguous solution of these equations can be found by means of an approximation of the wheels, being perfect springs, or harmonic oscillators placed in place of fixed points of contact between the wheels and rough terrain. To compare the theoretically calculated forces with the real forces acting in a real car, a vehicle model was constructed, in which springs simulating real shock absorbers are attached. The results determined from the theoretical calculation are then comparable with the results measured in the vehicle model.
