Abstract:

Severojižní kolejový diametr je poslední variantou dlouho plánované koncepce podzemní kolejové dráhy v Brně. Práce si klade za cíl prozkoumat, zda je vedení podzemní dráhy navrženo efektivně a obsluhuje důležité cíle dojížďky ve městě a významné shluky socio-ekonomických funkcí a aktivit v prostoru Brna. Výzkum byl zaměřen na studium kvantitativních dat o dojížďce, prostorovém rozložení pracovních míst, maloobchodu a služeb. Studována byla také historie vývoje kolejové dopravy v Brně a historie jednotlivých variant podzemních diametrů. Diametr obsluhuje významné cíle dojížďky i většinu významných shluků pracovních míst, služeb a dalších sledovaných socio-ekonomických funkcí v Brně. Koncepce diametru je i přes dlouhou dobu jejího plánování stále navržena ve vhodném směru a trase a je vhodným doplněním stávající sítě veřejné dopravy v Brně a metropolitní oblasti.

Abstract:

The North-South rail diameter is the last variant of the long-planned concept of the underground rail track in Brno. The purpose of the work is to investigate if the underground rail line is proposed efficiently and serves important commuting destinations in the city and major clusters of socio-economic functions and activities. The research focused on studying quantitative data on commuting, spatial layout of jobs, retail and services in the Brno area. The history of the development of the rail transport in Brno and the history of the different variants of underground diameters were also studied. The North-South rail diameter serves major commuting destinations as well as most of the significant clusters of jobs, services, and other socio-economic functions studied in Brno. Despite its long planning period, the North-South rail diameter concept is still designed in an appropriate direction and route and is a suitable complement to the existing public transport network in Brno and the metropolitan area.
