The level of provision of cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the Integrated Rescue System in Southern Moravia region

Abstract:

Výuka kardiopulmonální resuscitace je v dnešní době často diskutovaným tématem. Na základě doporučení Evropské resuscitační rady můžeme sledovat vydávání státních či lokálních doporučení, která obsahují jak validní informace, tak postupy upravené k obrazu svému a společnosti prezentované v různých kvalitách. Často tato neoficiální a nekvalitní doporučení můžeme najít implementována ve vnitřních směrnicích. Vznikem Integrovaného záchranného systému vyvstává myšlenka porovnání kvality péče o postiženého, mezi výjezdovými skupinami jednotlivých složek. Pro svoji práci jsem si k porovnání vybral region Jižní Morava. V teoretické části této práce popisuji historii i nejnovější poznatky, doporučení a postupy v oblasti kardiopulmonální resuscitace. Specifikuji Integrovaný záchranný systém, důvody jeho vzniku a zákonné normy upravující jeho existenci a funkci. V praktické části vyhodnocuji teoretické znalosti jednotlivých respondentů, získané dotazníkovým šetřením a praktické dovednosti pomocí zkoušky kardiopulmonální resuscitace, která byla prováděna za modelových podmínek na trenažéru Ambu?Man. Na základě výsledků jsem vypracoval doporučení pro zlepšení poskytování kvality neodkladné péče v oblasti náhlé zástavy oběhu.

Abstract:

The teaching of cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques is often discussed topic nowadays. Based on the recommendations of the European Resuscitation Council, we can monitor the issuing of state recommendations or local ones, which contain both valid information and procedures modified to their own image and presented in different quality to the public. These informal and low-quality recommendations can be often found implemented in internal directives. The creation of the Integrated Rescue System raises the idea of comparing the quality of patient care between crews of particular components. The topic of my thesis is such comparison in South Moravia region. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the history and also the latest findings, recommendations and procedures in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Specification of the Integrated Rescue System, the reasons for its creation and legal standards, governing its existence and function, are given here. In the practical part, the theoretical knowledge of the respondents obtained by questionnaire survey are evaluated as well as practical skills tested using cardiopulmonary resuscitation test performed under model conditions on the simulator Ambu ? Man. Based on these results, I have given recommendations for improvement in providing of good quality emergency care in case of sudden cardiac arrest.
