Epidemiology of cancer in the selected region

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na nárůst počtu onkologických onemocnění ve spádové oblasti Ambulance klinické onkologie Svitavy za období deseti let. V souvislosti s tímto nárůstem poukazuje na počet personálu poskytujícího zdravotní služby onkologickým pacientům. V teoretické části se věnuje epidemiologii nádorových onemocnění v ČR a ve světě, diagnostice a léčbě nádorových onemocnění. Vysvětluje systém péče o onkologicky nemocné v ČR a v Pardubickém kraji a popisuje práci všeobecné sestry na onkologickém oddělení. V průzkumné části jsou prezentována data dokazující nárůst onkologických onemocnění ve spádu ambulance klinické onkologie ve Svitavách a pomocí grafů srovnává počet personálu v poměru k nárůstu počtu nádorových onemocnění.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the increase in the number of oncological diseases in the catchment area of the Outpatients' Department of Clinical Oncology Svitavy over a period of ten years and in connection with this increase compares the number of staff taking care of the patients with cancer. The theoretical part deals with the epidemiology of cancer in the Czech Republic and in the world, the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, explains the system of care for cancer patients in the Czech Republic and the Pardubice region and describes the work of nurses in the oncology department. In the exploratory section, the tables present an increase in oncological diseases in the in the catchment area of Outpatients' Department of Clinical Oncology Svitavy and through the use of graphs it compares the number of personnel in proportion to the increase in cancer rates.
