Anotácia:

Práce analyzuje použití ozdob a dalších interpretačních pokynů v notové příloze traktátu A Treatise of Good Taste in the Art of Musick (1749) od Francesca Geminianiho (1687–1762) z hlediska rytmiky, metriky, melodie a harmonie. Výsledky analýzy jsou srovnány s Geminianiho výkladem o těchto prvcích interpretace a okrajově také s jinými prameny. Práce rovněž obsahuje životopisný úvod hodnotící Geminianiho význam a plný text traktátu v paralelním českém překladu. V příloze je uveden souhrn dat získaných analýzou.

Abstract:

The thesis analyses the use of embellishments and other performing instructions in the music contained in Francesco Geminiani’s (1687-1762) A Treatise of Good Taste in the Art of Musick (1749) in terms of rhythm, metre, melody, and harmony. The results of the analysis are compared with Geminiani’s account of these elements and, marginally, with other sources. The thesis also includes a biographical introduction assessing Geminiani’s importance, and the full text of the treatise with a parallel Czech translation. An appendix provides a summary of the data obtained from the analysis.
