The aspects of novel of initiation in the work of Henri

Abstract:

The aim of this master thesis was to display that the work of the Burgundian writer Henri Vincenot, despite his classification among authors of regional novel, brings out the schema caracteristic for a novel of initiation. This view, based on the presence of the initiation quest of the principal hero, is supported by an analysis of the onomastic motivation, of the space and of the time in five novels: Les Yeux en face des trous, Le Pape des escargots, La Billebaude, Les Étoiles de Compostelle a Le Maître des abeilles.

Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo poukázat na to, že dílo burgundského spisovatele Henri Vincenota, přestože je řazen mezi autory regionálního románu, vykazuje schéma charakteristické pro román zasvěcení. Tento názor, založený na přítomnosti iniciační cesty hlavního hrdiny, je opřen o rozbor onomastické motivace, prostoru a času v pěti dílech: Les Yeux en face des trous, Le Pape des escargots, La Billebaude, Les Étoiles de Compostelle a Le Maître des abeilles.
