Innovation in the Service Supply

Abstract:

Toto téma jsem si zvolil, protože pracuji v hostelu A&О Prague Rhea a jako zaměstnance mě zajímá možnost zlepšení nabídky, zavedení inovace a následné zvýšení spokojenosti klientů tohoto hotelu. Věřím, že splnění cíle bakalářské práce následně pomůže vlastníkům hostelu přehodnotit současné procesy a nabídku a zlepšit je. Cílem práce je identifikovat příčiny nespokojenosti hostů a najít slabá místa v činnosti hostelu. Dále pak pomocí inovativních řešení vytvořit podmínky pro větší spokojenost zákazníků a zvýšit konkurenceschopnost hostelu. Práce se skládá ze tří částí: teoretické, analytické a návrhové. V teoretické části práce je vymezen pojmový aparát, teoretická východiska z oblasti inovace služeb a nabídky, podstaty služeb v hotelnictví a fáze zavedení inovace. V analytické části práce byl představen hostel a hlavní probíhající procesy v hostelu. Dále byly vymezeny hlavní problémy a na základě dotazníkového průzkumu provedeného mezi klienty hostelu byly vyvozeny závěry ohledně neefektivních procesů nebo přetrvávajících problémů v hostelu. Bylo zjištěno, že hlavní problémy, které v hostelu přetrvávají, jsou především dlouhá registrace klientů. Dalším problémem, který byl zjištěn v práci, je nízká kvalifikace zaměstnanců, zejména jejich znalost angličtiny, která není na požadované úrovni. Třetím problémem, který byl zjištěn, je absence věrnostního programu pro stálé zákazníky hostelu. V návrhové části jsou navržené možnosti řešení těchto problémů v hostelu a inovace, které mohou být zavedené pro zlepšení procesů a nabídky. Po provedení analýzy a zpracování návrhů lze konstatovat, že cíl práce byl splněn.

Abstract:

I chose this topic because I work at the A&О Prague Rhea hostel and as an employee I am interested in the possibility of improving the offer, introducing innovation and then increasing the satisfaction of the clients of this hotel. I believe that meeting the aim of the bachelor thesis will help the owners of the hostel to reassess the existing processes and offer and improve it. The aim of the thesis is to identify the causes of guest dissatisfaction and find weaknesses in the activities of the hostel. Furthermore, using innovative solutions to create conditions for greater customer satisfaction and increase the competitiveness of the hostel. The thesis consists of three parts: theoretical, analytical and design. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the conceptual apparatus, the theoretical basis of the innovation of services and supply, the essence of services in the hotel industry and the phase of introduction of innovation. In the analytical part of the thesis was introduced the hostel and the main ongoing processes in the hostel. In addition, major issues were identified and conclusions were drawn based on a questionnaire survey conducted among the clients of the hostel regarding inefficient processes or persistent problems in the hostel. It has been found that the main problems that persist in the hostel are above all long registration of clients. Another problem found at work is the low qualification of employees, especially their knowledge of English, which is not at the required level. The third problem that has been identified is the absence of a loyalty program for the hostel's regular customers. In the design section, there are suggested solutions to these problems in the hostel and innovations that can be introduced to improve processes and offerings. After analyzing and processing the proposals, it can be stated that the aim of the work has been fulfilled.
