Historical Terminology in Translation of Non-Fiction
Abstract:
Tato práce se věnuje problematice překladu terminologie v historické odborné literatuře. Studované termíny pocházejí ze dvou anglicky napsaných knih R. J. W. Evanse, které se zabývají dějinami českých zemí. Tyto termíny jsou srovnávány se svými překlady do češtiny na základě překladové teorie Petera Newmarka.
Abstract:
This thesis deals with the problem of translation of terminology in historical non-fiction. The terms are taken from two English books by R. J. W. Evans concerning the history of the Czech lands. These terms are then compared to their translations into Czech. The analysis is based on Peter Newmark's translation theory.
