Abstract:
This thesis deals with two Czech translations of a novel by Scottish author Irvine Welsh, Filth, with focus on the translation of swear words. The first translation, Sviňák, by Vít Malinovský was published in 2001 by the Maťa publishing house and the second one by Vít Penkala, Špína, was published in 2015 by Argo publishing house.
