Spherical trigonometry

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na sférickou trigonometrii. V úvodu je obsažen historický vývoj sférické trigonometrie od počátku matematiky až do 20. století. Dále je zde uveden historický vývoj postavení sférické trigonometrie ve školské matematice a její význam pro geografii. V teoretické části jsou nadefinovány základní pojmy sférické trigonometrie a jejich charakteristiky, např. kulová plocha, hlavní kružnice a velmi důležitý sférický trojúhelník. Jsou zde uvedeny i základní věty sférické trigonometrie a to sinová věta, kosinová věta, sinuskosinová věta a Neperovo pravidlo. Jsou zde uvedeny vztahy mezi stranami a úhly sférického trojúhelníku a srovnání rovinné a sférické trigonometrie. V praktické části jsou řešeny příklady na obecný sférický trojúhelník a dále na pravoúhlý sférický trojúhelník. U každého jsou uvedeny všechny typy příkladů, které mohou nastat, jsou uvedeny podmínky, vzorce podle kterých se mají příklady řešit a vždy zadaný příklad a jeho výpočet, aby bylo názorné, jak postupovat při řešení sférických trojúhelníků. V závěru jsou i řešeny příklady na využití sférické trigonometrie v zeměpise.

Abstract:

The topic of my thesis is spherical trigonometry. The introduction includes history of spherical trigonometry since beginning of mathematics to the 20th century. Then I describe history of spherical trigonometry in school mathematics and its mening for geography. In theoretical part are defined basic concepts and characteristics of spherical trigonometry eg. spherical surface, circle and very important idea ? spherical triangle. Then I describe the fundamental theorems as sin theorem, cosin theorem, sincosin theorem and Neper law. In this part is also given the concept relations between sides and angles of spherical triangle and the comparison of plane and spherical trigonometry. In the practical part is solution of problems of spherical triangle and right spherical triangle. For each triangle are given all types of problems, that may occur. Also are given the conditions and formulas which give you the way, you should solve the problems. Then I add a problem and ist calculation, to be clear, how to proceed, when you try to find a solution of spherical triangle problems. At the end is the solution of problems, which are focused on usage of spherical trigonometry in geography.
