Abstract:

Veľká proletárska kultúrna revolúcia je považovaná za jedno z najproblematickejších období v modernej čínskej histórii. V mojej práci analyzujem dva romány, ktoré sa tohoto obdobia týkajú, konkrétne Het lelietheater od Lulu Wang a Feather in the Storm od Emily Wu. Tieto romány spolu porovnávam a špeciálnu pozornosť venujem najmä reprezentácii Kultúrnej revolúcie v oboch románoch.

Abstract:

The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution is considered to be one of the most challenging moments in recent Chinese history. In this thesis two novels that deal with this period are being examined, namely Het lelietheater (1997) written by Lulu Wang and Emily Wu's Feather in the Storm (2006). This work offers a comparative analysis of both novels with particular focus on the portrayal of the Cultural Revolution.
