Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaobírá restaurátorským zásahem na soše Apollona vyhotovené z biodetritického vápence. Vznik díla datujeme koncem 17. století. Restaurovaný objekt je původem z Vídeňského Horního Belvederu, odkud byl převezen za arcivévody Františka Ferdinanda d'Este na zámek v Konopišti. Nyní se socha nachází v areálu zahrad před východním průčelí zámku spolu s dalšími sedmi sochami. Součástí práce je chemicko-technologický, restaurátorský a umělecko-historický průzkum a také rozsáhlá obrazová dokumentace díla. Restaurátorské zásahy proběhly v souladu s již uskutečněnými restaurátorskými zásahy jak na soše Apollona, tak zásahy na jiných sochách ze stejného cyklu. Umělecko-historický průzkumu se zaobírá historií samotné sochy, ale i místa, kde se nachází, ikonografií díla a předchozími restaurátorskými zásahy. Restaurátorský a chemicko-technologický průzkum se zabývá zkoumáním vnějšího i hloubkového stavu díla, zejména degradací originálního povrchu kamene způsobenou nevhodně použitými tmely. Na základě těchto studií a analýz výsledků byl proveden úspěšný restaurátorský zásah.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the restoration treatment of the statue of Apollo made of biodetritic limestone. The artwork dates back to the end of the 17th century. The restored object comes from the Upper Belvedere in Vienna; it was transported to the Konopiště Chateau at the request of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. Presently, the statue is situated in the garden in front of the eastern face of the Chateau, accompanied by seven more pieces. The thesis contains microscopy, restoration, and art-historical surveys, as well as extensive photo documentation of the artwork. The restoration intervention was undertaken in accordance with the treatments of the statue of Apollo and the others of the same cycle carried out before. The art-historical survey involves the history of the statue itself, but also of its site, the iconography of the artwork, and its previous restoration treatments. The restoration and microscopy surveys deal with the external and in-depth examination of the artwork's condition, mainly with the degradation of the original stone surface caused by improperly applied sealants. On the basis of the surveys and results analysis, a successful restoration treatment was carried out.
