The natural and magical world in selected fairy tales by Wilhelm Hauff

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with selected works by the writer Wilhelm Hauff, especially the fairy tales. The aim of the work is to analyze the motifs of the natural and magical world in Wilhelm Hauff's fairy tales. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. In the theoretical part, the typical characteristics of the literary epoch of romanticism are first described. The motifs of nature and the magical world are then described in more detail. Another focus is on the genre of folk and literary fairy tales related to these motifs. In the practical part, these motifs, which are typical for artificial fairy tales, are shown in selected fairy tales and analyzed hermeneutically.

Abstract:

Diese Bachelorarbeit befasst sich mit ausgewählten Werken des Schriftstellers Wilhelm Hauff, insbesondere den Märchen. Ziel der Arbeit ist es, die Motive der Natur- und Zauberwelt in den Märchen von Wilhelm Hauff zu analysieren. Die Arbeit ist in zwei Teile gegliedert, einem theoretischen und einem praktischen. In dem theoretischen Teil werden zunächst die typischen Merkmale der literarischen Epoche der Romantik beschrieben. Anschließend werden die Motive Natur und Zauberwelt näher beschrieben. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt liegt auf der mit diesen Motiven verwandten Gattung der Volks- und Kunstmärchen. In dem praktischen Teil werden diese für Kunstmärchen typischen Motive in ausgewählten Märchen aufgezeigt und hermeneutisch analysiert.
