TED – ideas worth spreading. The analysis of the organization and study of opportunities for organizing a local conference.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce TED - myšlenky, které stojí za to šířit. Analýza organizace a studie příležitosti pro uspořádání lokální konference je popsat všechny podrobnosti o přípravě nezávislé konference TEDx v menším městě. Práce analyzuje zainteresované strany, kulturní prostředí a možnosti financování tohoto typu akcí při dodržování oficiálních směrnic TEDx. Práce také popisuje historii a strukturu organizace TED od jejího začátku až po současnost. Předkládá nám základní informace o financování celé organizace, která se stala celosvětovým fenoménem. Práce se zabývá podmínkami pro pořádání akce ve městě Hořice a poukazuje na možnosti získání finančních prostředků od místních firem a sponzorů. Analyzuje také možnosti spolupráce s městem.

Abstract:

The goal of this bachelor’s thesis – TED – ideas worth spreading. The analysis of the organization and study of opportunities for organizing a local conference is to describe all the details of preparing an independent TEDx conference in a smaller city. The thesis analyses stakeholders, the cultural environment, and possibilities for financing this type of event, observing the official guidelines of TEDx events. The thesis also describes the history and the structure of the TED organization from its beginning to the present day. It presents us the basic information about funding the whole organization which has become the worldwide phenomenon. The thesis deals with the conditions for organizing an event in the city of Hořice, and points out possibilities for raising funds from local companies and sponsors. It also analyses the possibilities for cooperation with the city.
