Prevention and screening of colorectal cancer from the perspective of the general public

Anotácia:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematiku přístupu veřejnosti k prevenci a screeningu kolorektálního karcinomu. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na anatomii tlustého střeva a konečníku, onkologické onemocnění těchto orgánů, dále na prevenci a screeningový program kolorektálního karcinomu. V této části jsou uvedeny také statistiky výskytu a úmrtnosti na kolorektální karcinom v České republice a ve světě. Praktická část obsahuje zpracování dotazníkového šetření, které je zaměřeno na laickou veřejnost s cílem zjistit povědomí o prevenci kolorektálního karcinomu a screeningovém programu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of public access to prevention and screening of colorectal cancer. The theoretical part focuses on the anatomy of the colon and rectum, oncological diseases of these organs, as well as on the prevention and screening programme of colorectal cancer. In this section, statistics on the incidence and mortality of colorectal cancer in the Czech Republic and worldwide are also presented. The practical part includes the preparation of a questionnaire survey aimed at the general public to determine the awareness of colorectal cancer prevention and screening programme.
