Analysis of the Effectiveness of Group Therapy in Neurotic Patients

Abstract:

Tématem této diplomové práce je výzkum účinnosti skupinové terapie u neurotických pacientů. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 294 pacientů psychiatrické léčebny, kteří byli léčeni pomocí skupinové terapie. Pacienti vyplnili v začátku terapie dva dotazníky: Škála individuálních příznaků (ŠIP) a Neurotický dotazník (N5). Na konci léčby tyto dotazníky vyplnili znovu, společně s Katamnestickým dotazníkem. Pro zjištění analýzy účinnosti skupinové terapie byly porovnány výsledky měření před terapií a po terapii. Na základě statistické analýzy se prokázala účinnost skupinové terapie u neurotických pacientů. Tento kvantitativní výzkum je zakotven v teorii, která je uvedena v prví části práce. Teorie shrnuje dosavadní poznatky a postupy ve skupinové terapii. Ve druhé části práce - empirické - je uvedeno statistické zpracování problému.

Abstract:

The topic of this thesis is to research the effectiveness of group therapy in neurotic patients. 294 patients from a psychiatric institution participated in this group therapy research. At the beginning of therapy, each patient filled out two forms: The scale of individual symptoms and a Neurotic questionnaire. At the end of therapy, each patient filled out the above mentioned forms along with the Katamnestic questionnaire. In order to find out if group therapy was effective, the results were compared before and after therapy. The statistical analysis confirmed that group therapy was effective in neurotic patients. This quantitative research is based on theory that can be found in the first part of this thesis. This theory contains up to date findings and steps used in this group therapy. The second part of this thesis, so called empirical, contains statistical findings of this research.
