Hybrid practices of young: digital technologies and their impact on consumer behavior

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je představení tzv. hybridních praktik definovaných Šimůnkovou (2019) a jejich identifikace na příkladu člena generace Alpha, tedy člověka digitálními technologiemi obklopeného již od narození. V teoretické části se práce věnuje generaci Alpha, digitálním technologiím, které běžně používá, a charakteristice širšího sociálního prostředí, které ji silně ovlivňuje. Dále tato část představuje socio-technologický kontext výzkumu, a sice koncepty hybridního prostoru a online/offline hybridity. Praktická část zkoumá hybridní praktiky členů generace Alpha metodou případové studie, je-jímž subjektem je právě člen generace Alpha. V závěru práce jsou výsledky pozorování, rozhovorů ale i zjištění vycházejících z teoretické části spojeny, interpretovány a diskutovány.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to introduce Hybrid practices defined by Šimůnková (2019) and its identification on one subject of generation Alpha, meaning a person who has been surounded by digital technologies since his birth. The theoretical part is about generation Alpha, digital technologies which are used by this generation regularly, and characterization into more wide social spectrum, which strongly influence the generation. Furthermore the theoretical part introduces socio-technological context of the research, meaning the concepts of hybrid space and online/offline hybridity. The practical part focuses on hybrid practices of members of the generation Alpha by case study, where the subject is a member of the generation Alpha. The results of observations, interviews of the practical part but also the discoveries from the theoretical part are linked, construed and discussed in the conclusion.
