Prosocial behavior and its motivation of future nurses

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám problematikou prosociálního chování a jeho motivaci u budoucích zdravotních sester. Povolání zdravotní sestry se vyznačuje možností určitým způsobem pomáhat druhým lidem. U budoucích zdravotních sester se předpokládá, že jejich prosociální chování je dobře rozvinuto. Teoretická část diplomové práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol. V první kapitole jsem se pokusila vymezit prosociální chování, jeho formy, vývoj, motivaci a proměnné, které jej ovlivňují. Dále se zabývám prosociální osobností, objekty pomoci a také altruismem. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na empatii jako na fenomén, který má úzkou souvislost s prosociálním chováním. V této kapitole vymezuji empatii, rozvádím její konceptualizaci a druhy i genderové rozdíly v úrovni empatie. Třetí kapitola je věnována profesi zdravotní sestry. V této kapitole jsem nastínila problematiku moderního ošetřovatelství a současného systému vzdělávání zdravotnických pracovníků. Dále je věnována pozornost zdravotní sestře a její osobnosti. Součástí kapitoly je rovněž role zdravotní sestry a její vztah s pacientem. Závěrečná podkapitola se zaměřuje na zdravotní sestru a dobrovolnictví v kontextu prosociálního chování. Druhou část diplomové práce tvoří výzkumná část, kde jsou prezentovány cíle, metodika a výsledky kvantitativního výzkumu prosociálního chování studentek středních zdravotnických škol. Cílem výzkumné části této práce bylo zjistit rozdíly mezi budoucími zdravotními sestrami s dobrovolnickou zkušeností a bez dobrovolnické zkušenosti z hlediska pětifaktorového modelu osobnosti a empatických tendencí.

Abstract:

I am dealing with the issue of prosocial behavior and its motivation of future nurses in my thesis. Mission nurses is help other people in many cases. It is expected from incoming nurses that their prosocial behavior is well developed. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter I have attempted to define prosocial behavior, its forms, development, motivation and variables that affect it. Another part deals with prosocial personalities, objects and altruism. Second chapter is focused on empathy as a phenomenon which is closely related to prosocial behavior. In this chapter define empathy, descibe the various conceptualization, species and gender differences in the level of empathy. The third chapter is devoted to a profession of a nurse. I outlined the problems of modern nursing and the current system of training of health workers. Attention is given to the nurse and her personality. Part of chapter is also the role of nurses and its relationship with a patient. The final section of this chapter focuses on nurse and volunteering in the context of prosocial behavior. Second part is a research part, presenting goals, methodology and results of quantitative research prosocial behavior of students of secondary medical schools. The main aim of this research was to find out the differences between future nurses with and without voluntary experience from point of view of Five-factor model of personality and empathic tendencies.
