: The long-term rehabilitation of an elderly patient with Alzheimer's disease following osteosynthesis for fracture of the femur: case report

Abstract:

Within this work, a clinical case of an elderly patient suffering from Alzheimer's disease following osteosynthesis for fracture of the femur will be described. The patient's rehabilitation process and the therapies to be carried out to improve the daily activities of our clinical case will be examined. The target of the thesis will be to find the most effective therapies for our patient, consequently an appropriate rehabilitation path will be established for the patient under examination. Examining a clinical case of an elderly person with Alzheimer's it is essential to establish a rehabilitation path with the patient's family in order to improve in the short or medium term all those necessary activities carried out during the day by our patient; facilitating the daily task of the patient's family members.

Abstract:

All'interno di questo elaborato sar? descritto un caso clinico di un paziente anziano affetto da Malattia di Alzheimer in seguito ad osteosintesi per frattura del femore . Verr? esaminato il percorso riabilitativo del paziente e le terapie da effettuare per migliorare le attivit? quotidiane del nostro caso clinico. L'obiettivo della tesi sar? quello di ricercare le terapie pi? efficaci per il nostro paziente, di conseguenza verr? stabilito un percorso riabilitativo adeguato al paziente in esame. Esaminando un caso clinico di un anziano con Alzheimer ? fondamentale stabilire un percorso riabilitativo con la famiglia del paziente in modo da poter migliorare a breve o medio termine tutte quelle attivit? necessarie svolte nella giornata dal nostro paziente; agevolando il compito giornaliero dei familiari del paziente.
