Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá překládáním odborných textů a zaměřuje se na překládání akademických textů z oboru geografie. Její součástí je překlad akademického eseje od J. B. Harleyho. Postupy a nástroje použité při překládání tohoto textu jsou uvedeny v analýze procesu překládání. Součástí práce je dále popis práce editora s uvedením principů, jimiž se editace překladů řídí. Abstract:
This thesis discusses translation of specialized texts with focus on translating acacemic texts in geogpraphy. It includes an annotated translation of an academic essay by J. B. Harley and a description of procedures and tools used to translate it. The procedure and principles of editing are also described, and a structured typology of editor's changes to the sample text is included.
