The influence analysis of the flux on the solder joint quality

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou bezolovnatého pájení s ohledem na množství aplikovaného tavidla. V teoretické části práce jsou rozebrány druhy bezolovnatých pájek, typy tavidel, vliv ochranné atmosféry na vlastnosti pájky, nejčastěji používané technologie pájení a vizuální inspekce pájených spojů podle IPC-A-610. V praktické části je zkoumán vliv množství tavidla na kvalitu pájených spojů tak, že je v sériové výrobě provedena na každém kusu vizuální inspekce se záznamem výsledku vizuální inspekce do databáze a na vybraném vzorku z každého měření je provedena analýza na rentgenu. Dále na vybraném vzorku, řez kritického místa s následnou analýzou s využitím digitálního optického mikroskopu. V závěru jsou zhodnoceny výsledky experimentu včetně ekonomickému dopadu na výrobu a vydáno doporučení.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the lead-free soldering issue with regard to the amount of the flux application. In the theoretical part of the thesis are analyzed types of lead-free solders, types of fluxes, influence of innert atmosphere on soldered joints properties, most frequently used soldering technologies and visual inspection of soldered joints according to IPC-A-610. In the practical part, there was analyzed the influence of the amount of flux on the quality of soldered joints. Experiments are executed in the serial production and visual inspection is carried out on each piece. The visual inspection result has a record in the company database. On the selected sample from each measurement was done an analysis on the X-ray. Further on the selected sample, section critical sites with subsequent analysis on a digital optical microscope. In conclusion the results of experiments including the economic impact on the production and recommendations are published.
