Three Perspectives of Aesthetics of Drama

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce Tři pohledy na estetiku dramatu se zabývá teatrologickým a estetickým zkoumáním a zásadními teoriemi tří velmi významných českých vědců tří různých generací – Otakara Zicha, Jiřího Veltruského a Iva Osolsobě. Tato studie se snaží výstižně popsat, vysvětlit a interpretovat tyto rozličné pohledy a důvody, které zmíněné autory vedly k jejich budoucím přesvědčením, ať vědecké zázemí, ve kterém se pohybovali, vliv jejich předchůdců či učitelů nebo historické okolnosti. Práce představuje základní myšlenky, teorie a převratné či doplňující práce zmíněných estetiků. Jak již z názvu vyplývá, každý z nich měl odlišný pohled na estetiku dramatu, i přesto, že ze svých předchůdců vycházeli. První část této práce nazvaná Vývoj divadelní vědy, estetiky dramatu a teoretických pojmů se věnuje postupnému vývoji výzkumu divadelních aktivit, estetických prvků spojených s problematikou divadla a dramatu, jinak řečeno zkoumáním, které následně ve 20. století vyústilo v nový vědní obor – divadelní vědu. Tématem dalších kapitol je analýza teoretického odkazu každého z vědců, orientace na jejich estetické dílo, na vysvětlení nových metod a teorií, zkrátka na tři různé pohledy na estetiku dramatu. Cílem práce je poukázat na inovativní přístupy zmíněných estetiků a teatrologů, které spojoval především zájem o sémiotiku divadla, analýzu dramatického díla, funkci dramatického textu a význam herce a herectví.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis Three Perspectives of Aesthetics of Drama deals with theatre and aesthetic inquiries and fundamental theories of three very prominent Czech scientists of three different generations - Otakar Zich, Jiří Veltruský and Ivo Osolsobě. The thesis presents basic ideas, theories and epochal or explicatory work of these mentioned aestheticians. As the name implies each of them had a very different view on the aesthetics of drama, even though they were inspired by their predecessor´s thoughts. The first part of the work called A Development of the Theatre Science, Aesthetics of Drama and Theoretical Concepts deals with gradual evolution in the inquiry into theatre and aesthetics, connected to difficulties facing theatre. It describes the formation of the Czech and European theatre science; its extrication from and continuity with the literature science. The theme of other chapters is a theoretical analysis of scientific legacy of each of mentioned scientists, orientation on their aesthetic work, an explanation of new methods and theories, in short three different perspectives of aesthetics of drama. The aim of this work is to highlight innovative approaches of the three aestheticians and theatre scientists who were associated primary with an interest in the semiotics of the theatre, the analysis of dramatic art, a role of dramatic text and the importance of actors and acting.
