Tradition as discourse term in German football

Abstract:

Author of this bachelor thesis analyzes the ideological meaning of the term „tradition“ in the context of a struggle against non-traditional football clubs and sponsoring. That shall be illustrated on the specific example – football club RB Leipzig. In the theoretical part author focuses on the history of football in Germany and shall answer the question, what actually „tradition“ means. In the practical part of the thesis author shall verify, based on the chosen criteria, what are the characteristics of a „traditional club“ and whether RB Leipzig meets these criteria or not. In the centre of the argumentation stays the campaign „No against RB“ (www.nein-zu-rb.de), which is critically evaluate by the author.

Abstract:

Autor bakalářské práce probírá na příkladu fotbalového klubu RB Lipsko, jaký ideologický význam má pojem „tradice“ v boji proti netradičním klubům a sponzorování: V teoretické části se má autor zaměřit na historii německého fotbalu a odpovědět na otázku: Co vlastně „tradice“ znamená? V praktické části má na základě zvolených kritérií ověřit, čím se vyznačuje „tradiční klub“ a jestli příkladový klub RB Lipsko tyto kritéria splňuje nebo ne. Kampaň „ne proti RB“ (www.nein-zu-rb.de) stojí při analýze v centru argumentací a je od autora kriticky ověřena.
