Diagnosis and therapy of amblyopia in the pediatric population

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou diagnostiky a léčby amblyopie v dětské populaci. V úvodní části je stručně popsáno binokulární vidění jako takové, obeznámení s pojmem binokulární vidění z pohledu jeho fyziologie a patologie. Následující kapitola se zaměřuje na klasifikaci amblyopie spolu s podrobnou charakteristikou všech základních typů. Hlavní část je věnována diagnostice amblyopie s důrazem na jednotlivé vyšetřovací metody zraku - vyšetření postavení a pohyblivosti očí, zrakové ostrosti, refrakce, fixace, zornice, vyšetření binokulárního vidění a léčbě amblyopie v dětské populaci. Zmíněny jsou základní postupy při léčbě této poruchy - vhodná optická korekce, typy okluzní terapie, farmakologická a optická penalizace očí, využití speciálních přístrojů při aktivní a pasivní pleoptické léčbě. Součástí bakalářské práce jsou ilustrace přibližující danou problematiku. V závěru se nachází shrnutí a stručné ohlédnutí k dané práci.

Abstract:

Bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of the diagnosis and treatment of amblyopia in the pediatric population. The introductory part briefly describes binocular vision, it deals with its physiology and pathology. The following chapter focuses on the classification of amblyopia together with a detailed description of all basic types. The main part is devoted to the diagnosis of amblyopia with emphasis on individual examination methods of vision - examination of the position and mobility of the eyes, visual acuity, refraction, fixation, pupil, examination of binocular vision and treatment of amblyopia in the pediatric population. In bachelor's thesis are mentioned basic procedures in the treatment of this disorder - appropriate optical correction, types of occlusion therapy, pharmacological and optical penalization of the eyes - the use of special devices in active and passive pleoptic treatment. Part of the bachelor's thesis are illustrations approaching the problematics. In the end there is a summary and a brief look back at the work.
