Quality of life in children with Crohn's disease

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na problematiku kvality života u dětské populace. Práce má 2 části: teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část je věnována Crohnově chorobě - její charakteristice, etiopatogenezi, epidemiologii, příznakům, komplikacím, diagnostice a léčbě. Dalším podtématem práce je kvalita života, její měření a kvalita života u dětí. Empirická část je stěžejní částí bakalářské práce. Tato část je věnována kvantitativnímu šetření u dětí a dospívajících s Crohnovou chorobou. Zkoumaný soubor tvořilo 76 dětí a dospívajících ve věku od 6 do 18 let. Respondenti odpovídali na dotazy, které měly zmapovat jejich nemoc, a na dotazník PedsQL pomocí kterého byla vyhodnocena kvalita jejich života. Práce zjišťuje, jakou kvalitu života má skupina respondentů a co je nejvíce ovlivňuje.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on quality of life in children and adolescents with Crohn's disease. The thesis has 2 parts: theoretical and empirical. Theoretical part is focused on Crohn's disease - its characteristics, etiopathogenesis, epidemiology, symptoms, complications, diagnosis and treatment. The second main part of theoretical part is quality of life, how we can measure it and its measurement in the population of children and adolescents. The most important part is the empirical part. This part of the thesis is focused on quatitative research in children and asolescents with Crohn's disease. The tested set was composed of 76 children in the age group from 6 to 18 years. Respondents answered questions focused on their illnes and questions from the PedsQL questionnare, which was used to measure the quality of their life. The thesis is analysing the quality of life in the group of respondents and factors that affect their quality of life
