Cílem této práce je představení zásady volného hodnocení důkazů v trestním dokazování. Práce je sestavena tak, aby představila nejprve zásadu volného hodnocení důkazů vzhledem k dalším zásadám trestního dokazování, představila historický vývoj této zásady a aby byla určena vnitřní stavba a logika zásady volného hodnocení důkazů.
