Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na rozvoj konceptu active cities, tedy na roz-voj podmínek pro umožnění aktivního života obyvatel ve zvoleném městě Strakonice. Dále hodnotí současnou situaci ve Strakonicích a podle toho navrhuje realizovatelná opatření, kterými by se město mohlo inspirovat při plánování dalšího rozvoje. Práce je rozdělena do několika částí, kdy postupuje od abstraktního popisu konceptu active cities, přes popis praxe v zahraničních městech až k situaci ohledně konceptu v našich městech, zejména ve vybraných Strakonicích. V závěrečné části práce, po zhodnocení současného stavu, jsou interpretovány návrhy vycházející ze současného stavu města a ze zahraniční praxe, které by měly přispět k dalšímu rozvoji konceptu active cities.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on the development of the concept of active cit-ies, which means the development of the conditions for enabling the active life of the inhabitants in the selected town of Strakonice. It also evaluates the current situation in Strakonice and proposes accordingly appropriate measures by which the city could be inspired when planning further development. The thesis is divided into sev-eral parts, proceeding from the abstract description of the concept of active cities through a description of the experience in foreign cities to the situation regarding the concept in our cities, especially in the selected city of Strakonice. In the final part of the thesis, after evaluation of the current state, proposals based on the current state of the city and from foreign experience are interpreted, which should contribute to the further development of the concept of active cities.
