Comenius's "Labyrinth" and Bridel's composition "What God? Man?" Two manifestations of Czech baroque literature in mutual comparison
Abstract:
Práce se zabývá srovnáním Komenského Labyrintu a básnické skladby Bedřicha Bridela Co Bůh? Člověk? a konfrontací obou památek s obecnými rysy barokního písemnictví uváděnými v odborné literatuře. Všímá si podobností i rozdílů v užívaných motivech, vyjadřovaných ideách a formální výstavbě obou děl a pokouší se srovnávané prvky zařadit do kontextu dobové umělecké, především literární, produkce.
Abstract:
The thesis deals with the comparison of Comenius’s Labyrinth of the World and Paradise of the Heart and Bedrich Bridel’s long poem What God? Man? and a confrontation of both works with general characteristics of baroque writing described in scholarly literature.
