Abstract:

Práce se soustředí na invazi vojsk Varšavské smlouvy do Československa v roce 1968 a její literární prezentaci v prozaických textech. Práce představuje jak historické pozadí vojenského zásahu, tak jeho průběh a následky. V centru zájmu stojí analýza textů reprezentujících tři odvětví české literatury po roce 1968 (oficiální - Vabank Alexeje Pludka, samizdatovou - Příliš hlučná samota Bohumila Hrabala, exilovou - Nesnesitelná lehkost bytí Milana Kundery) a románu britského autora Simona Mawera z roku 2018 Pražské jaro. Hlavním cílem práce je ukázat, jak tyto texty prezentují srpnovou invazi a na základě toho zobrazit odlišné přístupy k zpracovanému tématu.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the Soviet Invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968 and the way its depicted in Czech literature, especially in the novels. The thesis consists of the depiction of historical background of the invasion and the consequences of this event. The main part of thesis are the analyses of texts, which represent three different branches in the Czech literature after 1968 (official - Alexej Pludek's Vabank, unofficial - Bohumil Hrabal's Příliš hlučná samota, published in exile - Milan Kundera's Nesnesitelná lehkost bytí) and the novel of the British author Simon Mawer (The Prague Spring published in 2018). The main goal of the thesis is to show how these texts depict the Soviet Invasion and to point the differences in the way this topic is presented.
