The application of the concept of Basal Stimulation of child patient with agenesis of the corpus callosum

Abstract:

Cíl: Poukázat na možnost zapojení konceptu Bazální stimulace do ergoterapeutické intervence. Metodika: Porovnání stavu dítěte před a po aplikaci konceptu Bazální stimulace do ergoterapeutické intervence. Pro zjištění potřebných informací ke stanovení krátkodobého plánu jsem použila metodu pozorování, rozhovoru s matkou klienta a vstupní vyšetření. Dále analýzu lékařské a rehabilitační dokumentace, kineziologický rozbor a testování jemné motoriky. Na základě výsledků byl stanoven krátkodobý ergoterapeutický plán zaměřený na aplikaci konceptu Bazální stimulace do života a péče o dítě. Po výstupním hodnocení byl stanoven dlouhodobý ergoterapeutický plán. Výsledky: Terapie přispěla ke zlepšení schopnosti koncentrace. Dítě projevuje větší zájem o své okolí a pokouší se o přetočení na levý bok. Při poloze na břiše zvedá hlavu a následně pokládá zpět na podložku. Dítě není tolik plačtivé jako na začátku pobytu, matka udává jeho zklidnění a lepší zvládání stresových situací. Došlo k zlepšení jemné motoriky, kdy dítě zvládlo cíleně uchopit ozvučné dřívko, prohlédnout si ho a zahodit. Závěr: Ergoterapeutická intervence obohacená o koncept Bazální stimulace měla pozitivní efekt na celkový stav dítěte. Pro dosažení maximálních možných pozitivních výsledků a maximální možné samostatnosti a soběstačnosti bude terapie pokračovat v rámci realizace dlouhodobého ergoterapeutického plánu.

Abstract:

Target: To point out possibility of using Basal stimulation in occupational therapist intervention and its positive benefit for the client. Methodology: Comparation of child state before and after application of Basal stimulation contept to occupational therapist intervention. In order to determine vital informations for aplication of short term ocupational therapist plan I used metods as observation, interview with mothet of the client and initial examination. Next i used analysis of medical and rehabilitational documentation, kineziologic analysis and the test of fine motoring. After the colection of base results has been determined short term ocupational therapist plan withch is focused on aplication of Basal stimulation concept in childs live and care. Results: The therapy has helped to improve the ability to concentrate. The child is showing incresed interest for his surroundings and he is trying to consiously rotate his body on left side. Once he is on his bely position he lifs up his head and then he lay his head on surface. The child is not as much weepy as on the begining of the visit. Mother is also pointing out that he is more calm and is more capable of handling stress situations. The fine motorics capabilities have improved, when once child was able to grab music instrument, observe it and then throw away. Conclusion: Ocupational therapist intervention whitch is enhanced with Basal stimulation concept had positive efect on allround state of child. After achieving maximal ammount of results and maximal amount of self-sufficiency and independence, the therapy will continue by realisating of the long term occupationl therapist plan.
