Verification of ancient DNA analysis using detection of human markers in animal bones
Abstract:
Cílem této diplomové práce bylo navrhnout a ověřit metodu, která by umožnila detekci nespecifické kontaminace na archeologických nalezištích. Byly analyzovány zvířecí kosti nalezené v blízkosti lidských ostatků a byla u nich detekována lidská DNA. K tomuto účelu byla využita metoda kvantitativní PCR s použitím barviva SYBR Green.
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis was to design and verify a method which could detect non-specific contamination of archaeological sites. Animal bones, found nearby human remains, were analysed and they were tested for presence of human DNA. For this purpose, the method of quantitative PCR with SYBR Green dye was used.
