Implementation of fast Gaussian filter
Abstract:
The subject of this thesis was to implement 1D Gaussian filter according to specific algorithm and then to implement the functions also for 2D and 3D filtering. This algorithm is based on approximating Gaussian filter with discrete cosine transform with odd length of period (DCT-V). Thesis also reviews efficiency of this solution and compares it with other types of Gaussian filtering.

Cieľom tejto práce bolo implementovať jednorozmerný Gaussov filter podľa zadaného algoritmu a následne túto implementáciu rozšíriť aj pre druhý a tretí rozmer obrazu. Algoritmus je založený na aproximácii Gaussovho filtra pomocou diskrétnej kosínusovej transformácie s nepárnou dĺžkou periódy (DCT-V).
