Corporate Social Responsibility of Supply Chain

Abstract:

Práce je věnována společenské odpovědnosti organizací (CSR) a následně je toto téma zasazeno do kontextu dodavatelského řetězce. Na základě rešerše relevantní literatury je praktická část práce věnována analýze přístupů k CSR dvou významných společností automobilového průmyslu. První z nich je koncern Volkswagen, který usiluje o přední pozice v oblasti CSR, a druhou je ŠKODA AUTO a.s., jako přední česká automobilka a zároveň součást koncernu. V rámci analýzy je pozornost zaměřena na strategii společností v oblasti CSR, řízení její implementace, významné aspekty CSR a komunikaci CSR aktivit. Na základě analýzy jsou formulována doporučení, která jsou zhodnocena.

Abstract:

The work focuses on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and further the topic is put into context with sustainable supply chain. The practical part of thesis focuses on analysis of approach of two automobile companies based on research of the relevant literature. The firstly defined company is Volkswagen concern, which aims to be leader in the CSR and the second one is ŠKODA AUTO a.s. that is part of the concern and important Czech company at the same time. The analysis concentrates on company's strategies in CSR, managing the implementation, significant aspects of CSR and communication of CSR activities. Based on the analysis results the recommendations are formulated and evaluated.
